Options to Monitor Missing Services in ControlUp 8.8

A user asked for options to monitor whether a service is missing, and was suggested to use the new service triggers in ControlUp 8.8. This can be done by monitoring the service stop and not configured status, and including the checkmark for just discovered machines. The user faced difficulty with slower login times and broken communications with banking apps due to their security groups not following vendor AV recommendations.

Looking for options to monitor if a service is missing. We are getting ready to deploy SentinelOne to instant clones (VDI) and want to be alerted if the S1 agent is missing. TIA


That’s one of the options for the new service triggers in 8.8


i see i can monitor when the service stops. but how can i monitor if the service is missing?

Hopefully the S1 deployment goes well. It’s been a little rough for us with slower logins and breaking communications with vital banking apps. Our current security groups don’t believe vendor AV recommendations are worth following. But I’m not bitter 😩


Include the checkmark for just discovered machines (i.e. with no previous state).

It is in the filter criteria pane.
