Leveraging ControlUp Triggers to Restart Services After VM Boot Up
A user asked about using ControlUp Triggers to restart a service after a VM boot up. Options discussed include Uptime in Minutes and Status column triggers, but it may be best to use a Scheduled Task in the VM. Advice was given to be careful with the equals operator, as it is risky for numeric values like uptime. It was suggested to ensure that the console was correctly collecting events before setting up triggers, and that the events were accessible in Powershell. The user was then referred to a ControlUp article (Real-Time Console - Events Pane [https://helpcenter.controlup.com/hc/en-us/articles/360015114517-Real-Time-Console-Events-Pane]) before it was suggested they use the "scheduled task trick" to create an event in the application.

Sivan’s “Did You Know”: Monitoring Network Drives in Solve with Eugenia Schipelliti
This week's Did You Know is sponsored by Eugenia Schipelliti. It is now possible to monitor Network Drives in Solve - the user can view network drives associated with managed machines in the Topology view. However, an alert was asked about on a Citrix server with several users who map drives to the same location - the solution is to monitor on a specific device rather than trigger an alert for every person. Additionally, when the user is ready to create the trigger, assistance is available if needed. Learn more here.

It was suggested to use an advanced trigger, and once created, to check a test.
