This discussion focused on the difference between hive health and scout health, and the health metrics available in the scout details on the ControlUp portal. It was suggested that a "dead man's switch" be included to better help Scoutbee users with a metric to rule out hive-related issues. Hive availability can also be monitored to understand the reason for no test results in a certain period. The URL for the feature "Scout malfunction alert" is https://support.controlup.com/docs/alerts-for-stopped-scouts.

Health Checks for VMware UAGs Using Horizon and UAG APIs within ControlUp
A user asked for suggestions on what metrics to assess in a project to do better health checks on VMware UAGs using Horizon and UAG APIs. Ideas include alerting when a connection server exceeds a threshold, and when services are not in a running state, as well as low available memory and high CPU. These metrics would also be desirable to display in ControlUp's Solve and Console. Discussions also included Dennis' idea to bring the data to Edge DX and a feature request for UAG data.

Is There a Limitation on Filters in ControlUp Solve?
The user asked if the filters were limited to 5, and it was suggested that triggers could be used to watch 10 users in real-time. Troubleshooting a Trigger to Delete Profiles in ControlUp
A user was trying to set up a trigger that would delete profiles older than one day if disk space drops below 10%, but the trigger wouldn't run. It turned out that it needed to be set up to delete at an exact threshold (e.g., 10%), and not a range (e.g., 9% to 11%). The user enabled an email alert to confirm the CU was picking up the trigger, and adjusted the settings so it would run below their personal threshold.

Mitigating False Alarms on Failed Machinesin ControlUp
A user asked about false alarms being triggered on failed machines, and it was suggested to check the Incident tab in the (old) console to see values and to change the trigger to dump all machines, folders, sessions and processes to CSV files in order to analyze the incident. Mitigation strategies such as setting the threshold to at least 1 min was suggested.

How to View Citrix RTT in ControlUp Solve and Edge?
A user asked if Citrix RTT can be seen in ControlUp Solve / Edge. The RTT column is for Blast/RDP, while ICA users should use the "Latency Last" metric. User Input Delay may be the equivalent metric for Citrix RTT, as detailed in ControlUp's blog: https://www.controlup.com/resources/blog/entry/controlup-automation-user-input-delay-vs-citrix-ica-round-trip-time-rtt/.

How to Report and Alert on VM’s with System Event Source “Bugcheck”
It is possible to create an event trigger to alert on virtual machines (VMs) with system event source "bugcheck" through email (or webhook and a few other options). However, this would only work when the event is occurring, not for past events. If the event relates to a blue screen, the agent might be gone and it won't alert. To solve this, it is suggested to set a trigger when the VM status goes from error to ready and run a script to check for that event.
