A user was having trouble scheduling a trigger to run once a month, with the script running correctly when executed manually. After checking backend data and determining a support ticket was required, the team provided a Monitor log4net file and instructions for creating the log file. It was suggested to look into the trigger timings being in different time zones, and instructions were given for setting the Monitor service time outs. In the end it was discovered that the infrastructure servers had incorrect time zones, which caused the problem. ControlUp Monitor service time out was also optimized. The Monitor service should transition from 'started' to 'running' over time. The issue is now resolved.

Capturing Event Log Data with ControlUp Edge DX Documentation
Timothy's new documentation covers collecting event data from Agent, recording additional events, viewing recorded events with the event log report, setting up alerts and automation using the win_event_log index, running a script on a device to scam for historical events and remote control into a device to view events manually. The article can be found at https://support.controlup.com/docs/windows-event-logs-with-edge-dx and was praised for being well done.

Automated Business Applications Versioning Reports in ControlUp
A user asked for automated reports on major business applications versioning numbers - currently there is no automated reporting but a manual App Statistics weekly report can be created or an export of application versions by machine or user can be done. Report automation is scheduled to arrive for Solve in a couple of weeks.

Automating the Disabling of Maintenance Mode on Virtual Desktops
A user asked whether it was possible to automate the process of disabling maintenance mode on virtual desktops. Suggestions include marking the systems by using the eventlog, using registry keys for non-persistent systems, and using a local database. Citrix's Load Index was mentioned as a simpler solution, and it was clarified that it uses CPU, RAM, and maximum user numbers to calculate the effective load. ControlUp Automation and Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Policy Settings were both suggested as useful solutions.

Using Automation to Assign Dynamic Groups in ControlUp
It is currently only possible to automatically assign Dynamic Groups during installation of the Windows Agent, but there may be a similar possibility for Linux using the upcoming IGEL OS12 agent. Alternatively, API calls and scripts can be used to assign dynamic groups. UserVoice item https://controlup.uservoice.com/redirect/suggestions/46944511 has been created for this.

Alternative Way to Check User Processes with ControlUp Triggers
A user suggested having a floating window with the processes of a user when the "Navigation to sessions/overview" is clicked, as a way to check for CPU, RAM, disk or network spikes when their "User Input Delay" exceeds a certain threshold. Another user suggested using the „dump views to disk” follow-up action in triggers as an alternative. This follow-up action can be used to select the views needed and create CSVs or XLS files for further investigation. Information about this can be found at https://support.controlup.com/docs/setting-up-triggers.

How to Add a Script to the ControlUp Community Script Library?
A user asked how to add a script to the ControlUp Community Script Library. They were directed to a blog post which outlines the process for sharing, and the user mentioned they had two scripts that they created to provide a report of user profiles reset by Citrix Director and to clear the storage space from reseted profiles. This is suggested to be added to @member's list of community triggers. The Academy can be found at https://cuacademy.controlup.com/

How to View Citrix RTT in ControlUp Solve and Edge?
A user asked if Citrix RTT can be seen in ControlUp Solve / Edge. The RTT column is for Blast/RDP, while ICA users should use the "Latency Last" metric. User Input Delay may be the equivalent metric for Citrix RTT, as detailed in ControlUp's blog: https://www.controlup.com/resources/blog/entry/controlup-automation-user-input-delay-vs-citrix-ica-round-trip-time-rtt/.

How does ControlUp Agent Certificate Communication Work?
It was asked if a single certificate needs to be used across Real-Time Consoles, Monitors, and ControlUp Agents, with the Consoles and Monitors holding the private key while the public key is deployed to the Agents. Remediation can be automated for the agents with a GPO, and for the Console/Monitors with a supported PowerShell scripted provided by ControlUp. More information on agent certificate communication can be found at https://support.controlup.com/v1/docs/certificate-based-agent-authentication.

Ideas for Reports Showing ControlUp Success in the Environment
The user was looking for a report which would show what ControlUp had been doing in their environment and to spot trends week-over-week. It was suggested that the Incidents Pane in the Realtime Console and the Environment Assessment report in Insights be used to look at performance-related data. Reports in Solve, documenting and highlighting successes for ControlUp, and automations enabled in the Automation Module were all suggested as well. Additionally, there is a new in-product report which will present data out of the box.
