Does Director Trigger Pack Capture Unregistered Instances?
A user asked if the Director Trigger pack can capture an unregistered instance of the server. It can, but the trigger must use "Minimum duration in this state" instead of Uptime. The user set Minimum duration to 10 minutes and removed Uptime.

Investigating 404 Error using ControlUp Edge DX API for Device List
A user encountered a 404 error when using the API to call a script against a device list. A Network check script was supplied which could address the 414 devices before it broke, with 1 per device ID specified. The issue was discovered to be due to a machine having an altered Device ID within 3 minutes. The EdgeDX API URLs mentioned in the message were 'Global-EdgeDX Download Manager' = 'downloads.sip.controlup.com', 'Global-EdgeDX tenant' = "$edgetenant.sip.controlup.com" and 'Global-Google Maps' = 'maps.google.com'.

Creating a Custom Report or Data Index with ControlUp
A user asked if there was a way to import external data from CSV files into ControlUp to create a custom report or data index - the only way is to run a script on endpoints. An example of this is used by a customer to create an asset management index. The data is available in the registry, and can be accessed and used to create the data index with ControlUp using a login script run from a GPO.

Generating Email Alerts for VMWare Updates with ControlUp
A user was looking for a way to generate email alerts when a column in the console says "Needs Updating', and to check the status of VMWare servers that may need updating. It was suggested to use an advanced trigger, and once created, to check a test. Additionally, a scheduled trigger can be used to report the status, or Export-CUQuery can be used to dump the data to a CSV file each week. Improving Performance from ControlUp Real-Time Client
A user asked advice on how to help with the real-time client not using a minimum of 1.4 GB RAM, due to the in-ram database the monitors use. It was suggested to connect to the hypervisor and EUC sites only and drill into the machines to connect to the agent. Solve and the web portal are the paths forward, with the ability to open different views in different browser tabs or on multiple screens, as well as stream Session Activity Reports in Solve. The user also asked about the Session Client Report and it was suggested to manage the columns in the presets and to use the ability to share report configurations.

How To Get Full Reports of App Load Time in ControlUp
