A discussion about admin and service desk user experience for CU Insights took place, with some users mentioning issues with browser performance. Some recommended trying the new reports in Solve, while others suggested that Insights was moving towards a new service for better usability. The timestamp feature was also discussed, with some users asking for it to be made more visible for easier use. It was also mentioned that an API endpoint for start/stop/active/idle/disconnect/reconnect times is in the works for common questions. The timestamp feature can be found on the Insights platform by clicking on the Show/Hide icon. The timestamp can also be displayed by default by clicking on the same icon.

Tracking Blue Screen Events in ControlUp
A user asked if it is possible to see when the blue screens appeared on the "Top Devices with Blue Screen Events" report in ControlUp. Another user suggested checking the Power and Session Events report, which includes a search function for device name and "BSOD" event type. A screenshot provided shows 4 events, but some may be duplicated. The recent Agent beta allows for capturing blue screens using WER files. Discussing Data Retrieval from Custom Data Indexes at ControlUp
The conversation on Slack revolved around pulling data from custom data indexes via API. It was revealed that while there are 7 indexes with varying numbers of items, only 10,000 rows can be queried from each one. This is because EdgeDX expects filtering and aggregation to be done on the tenant side rather than the client side. The logic behind data retention was also brought up, with the max amount of data being 30 days. The discussion ended with the advice to query the collapsed index for more recent data. The full conversation can be found at https://controlup.slack.com/archives/CAZ3VBF6B/p1617709089046900.

Editing VM Configurations with ControlUp
A user asked about using ControlUp to edit virtual machine (VM) configuration items such as NICs and CPUs. The use case would be to optimize VM configuration and report if cores were assigned from multiple sockets, and also repair them. While there isn't a ControlUp specific script for this, there are pre-existing scripts available, and the user suggested a 'set CPUs = 1' parameter should be taken. Goal is to have CPUs match the number of cores, so sockets is 1.
