The user was having an issue on Discovery where they were unable to get detailed information after clicking "Click the data point for more details". It was confirmed that the machine had the agent installed and the same process worked with Insights. The issue appears to have been resolved.

Antivirus Deleting ControlUp.exe
A customer reported an issue launching the latest ControlUp software ver. 8.7, with Symantec antivirus deleting the .exe file. It may be down to ControlUp's update of their 3rd party tool for obfuscation. It was suggested that the .exe file be uploaded to VirusTotal, to increase the number of customers who have seen it.

Creating ControlUp Triggers and Scheduled Reboots in ControlUp
The user asked for best practices when creating triggers in ControlUp and shared their own "findme" trigger for testing automated actions. This trigger is based on an active application title and can be used to fire the trigger when needed. They then covered the use of scheduled triggers for reboot schedules, with examples and providing a filter example with regex. They suggested using the Scoutbees API with Microsoft Power Automate, to which another user suggested even if the alerts create an event on the Hive Server, they could use ControlUp for alerts and automation. Issues Searching All Fields in ControlUp Real-time Console
A user had reported that users of ControlUp's Real-time Console cannot search all fields, which first appears in version 8.6. An internal ref number for this bug is 119007, although engineers have not been able to reproduce it yet. The user was asked if they are using any application virtualization technology, as this could be the cause. The user stated they are not using any, but this was nonetheless good to know.

How to Track Disk Space Trend Analysis in ControlUp Real-Time DX?
A user asked if there was a way to track disk space trend analysis. The feature was well-received and the team suggested adding a “free disk space” chart to their Machine Trends report. They also discussed adding it to the Sizing Recommendations report, since the Streaming Project will impact the current metrics they were planning to include. The Streaming Demo was held recently and it was decided that the project would fit well with existing historical PVS & GPU metrics.
