Creating Triggers in ControlUp for Outlook Inbox Monitoring

A user inquired about creating a trigger for Outlook Inbox on a server, and received a response suggesting the use of ControlUp to run a script using PowerShell and the Outlook COM Object. The script would then check and report the number of items in the Inbox. An example code was also provided. This solution was provided by Yoni and can be implemented through ControlUp.

High CPU Usage on macOS Sequoia from CoreAgent – ControlUp Community Discussion and Support

Multiple users reported experiencing high CPU usage on macOS Sequoia from /usr/local/com.controlup.edgedx.agent/Bin/CoreAgent. The issue has been observed on a variety of macOS versions, and restarting the device only temporarily resolves it. A ticket has been opened with CU support, and users are discussing the issue in the community. Some have seen similar issues with earlier agent versions, but it has since been fixed.

Troubleshooting AD connections on ControlUp Academy

Troubleshooting Unmanaged AVD Session Hosts in ControlUp Console

A user asked for assistance in managing Azure Virtual Desktop session hosts in the ControlUp console. They have installed the ControlUP monitor and agent on a virtual machine in Azure, but the status remains unmanaged for the AVD session hosts. Other Azure metrics are visible. A suggestion was made to test communication on port 40705 and to use the "install-cuagent" cmdlet with a dex api key for self-registration. Helpful links and instructions were provided.

Managing Email Alerts for Low Upload Volume in ControlUp

ControlUp API and Running Scripts on Offline Devices

A question was asked about using the ControlUp API to run scripts on an offline device. Another user responded that this is not possible and the device must be online for the script to run. However, the API does queue up requests for offline devices, with a short time limit of 1 minute. This is not intended as a cache, but rather to account for devices only checking in every minute. Therefore, it is not necessary to filter out offline devices in API calls.
