Users are experiencing multiple disconnects/reconnects with their EUC Environment cloud connection daily which is causing issues in the ControlUp console, false reports of failed desktops, and data disappearing when navigating Solve. A ticket was raised four years ago but no resolution has been provided. Support suggested rebooting data collectors and adding resources but it is believed the issue lays with Citrix’s API blocking connections. ControlUp is actively working with Citrix to resolve the issue.

anyone else have their EUC Environment cloud connection disconnect 8 million times a day? it is killing us
talking about here
and i get this bullshit in the logs
basically cant use any of the CVAD features in ControlUp anymore.
Yes, i saw multiple disconnects / reconnects going on last week. Not seen the bullshit in the logs, but not gone looking. I wondered whether it may explain this going on. False reports of failed desktops.
it makes it difficult to do anything when you are navigating in solve and all of the sudden all your data dissapears and you have to wait x minutes for the stupid thing to reconnect. I put a ticket into support like 4 years ago but nothing.
obviously im exagerating but this is the most frustrated i have ever been with CU
My feedback= Fix the stuff that aint working before adding more pretty things into solve
Glad you’ve mentioned it, i was rebooting data collectors and adding more resource in case they were maxed.
are they all ctx cloud connections as I know that citrix hates their api’s being used and seems to block them at times. @member have we had more issues with this? @member can you dm me the ticket # so I can check what’s happening?
The event errors btw point to the console not being able to connect to our config backend and is not related to connections to ctx cloud unless you have a problematic internet connection overall.
@member that trigger wouldn’t fire with connection problems as the number would be 0 and not suddenly way higher. Not sure if that number is a straight number from ctx cloud or a count of failed machines but either way it’s straight ctx api data.
Thanks Wouter, good to hear.
This is a known issue we just recently brought to Citrix’s attention and is affecting many customers. We are actively working with Citrix to get them to resolve this issue. @member @member FYI.
