A user asked how to install EdgeDX on a RDSH Farm. It was suggested to modify the command line, adding "RegisterWithDeviceName": true and "REGISTERWITHNAME=1". Additionally, there will also be a need to check if the device group/tag needs to exist, as that may be a factor in the devices not appearing in Edge DX. Resources can be found at https://support.controlup.com/docs/edge-dx-agent-distribution-and-installation-for-windows.

No data for a device/user on UC&C Dashboard for Teams
The user had a question about not being able to view data for a device/user on the UC&C Dashboards for Teams. The dashboard takes data from 2 sources - the Teams API and an agent for real-time insights. Microsoft Graph API is the data for the Teams management dashboards and agent data is linked by participant/session ID. If the data is missing, delayed, or timestamped incorrectly, it's a Microsoft issue. Screenshots were provided for clarification.

How to Disable ControlUp Agent Auto Updates
A user asked if there was a way to disable auto updates for devices with the ControlUp agent other than disabling them one at a time; it is possible to do so by turning off version control. The reason for this was due to CarbonBlack blocking the agent when it gets updated. As a solution, the user was suggested to get a CarbonBlack rule in place to allow it, simplifying future upgrades of the agent.

Alternatively, API calls and scripts can be used to assign dynamic groups. UserVoice item https://controlup.uservoice.com/redirect/suggestions/46944511 has been created for this.

ControlUp Agent Status Reports “Error” While Working Perfectly
A user asked about an issue with Instant Clone VMs; potential causes suggested included DNS resolution, firewall blocking, Agent not installed, or Agent not running. To find the exact error message, they need to look at 'Monitor Status' in the Console. It was then mentioned that if these VMs are not connecting to the Monitor, they will cause errors in Solve (missing historical data). Lastly, the user realized that the Agent may not be running.

In Horizon View, the assigned user of VDIs is not showing in the Real-Time console, but there is a registry key that can be used to turn it back on. This was turned off by default due to a performance concern, but it is believed that the underlying issue has been addressed. In version 9 of the integration, assigned user can be retrieved without extra data. @member may have more insight on this. Use with caution. Installing ControlUp Edge DX on Non-Persistent VDI Images
A user was having difficulty finding documentation on installing ControlUp Edge DX onto a non-persistent VDI base image. The solution is to add the ONLYSTARTONBOOT=1 argument and to register machines by name in the agent settings within the tenant. Casing is important. The full command is: msiexec /i agentmanagersetup.msi /qn DEVREGCODE=(SampleCode) TENANT=(TenantName).sip.controlup.com ONLYSTARTONBOOT=1 REGISTERWITHNAME=1.
