How to Make ControlUp Edge DX Recognize Windows-Based Thin Clients
A user was having an issue with Windows-based thin clients not showing up properly on Edge DX when the device image was sysprepped and reinstalled. Edge has a UID stored in the programdata folder which marks the device as unique. To solve this issue, the UID must be removed before sealing the image, and then a new UID will be generated when the Edge agent is restarted. The UID file can be found in C:\programdata\Avacee\sip_agent\cachefiles.

How to remotely query the registry of machine using a ControlUp Script Action?
It is possible to query the registry of a machine using a Script action, however the user was getting 'access denied' errors. If the computer runs the CU agent, it might be easier to run the script there instead of remotely. It was suggested that PS remote needs to be enabled for Invoke-Commands. 8.8 release will allow users to see the value for VHDLocations as a column in console and Solve as part of the FSLogix integration.

Edge DX was installed and CPU spikes were not observed. It was fixed in the Beta 2 for Windows and can be due to any number of causes such as latency with proxies and disk issues. Having 3 targets in the latency report and seeing gaps in the same spot for all 3 targets could point to an issue with the user's cable, router, modem or ISP. ControlUP traceroute info might also be helpful.
