How to Deploy ControlUp Remote DX on IGEL Devices
A user asked about the best or newest way to deploy/update ControlUp Remote DX on IGEL. The Igel firmware release 11.08.230 includes ControlUp Agent 8.1.5.500 and the user asked how to activate this feature. The user was given advice to move away from Real-Time but add them to Edge DX. As of 11.04 and earlier, the user was advised to use a custom partition. There is a bug that prevents the user from connecting after June last year, though. The user can download the ControlUp Remote DX Agent install script for IGEL devices using OS v11.05.152 and test it on OS v11.07.198.

Can ControlUp Remote DX be Installed on Dell Devices?
A user asked if the ControlUp Remote DX can be installed on Dell Thin Clients and Dell Wyse 5470 laptops - @member and @member confirmed that this was not on the supported list but that the integrated OS from https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-il/product-support/product/wyse-3040-thin-client/drivers# can be installed, with the RemoteDX, but not EdgeDX. @member helped clarify this, for which they were thanked with a beer.

Stuck in “estimating the connection quality” with RemoteDX Plugin
A user encountered an issue with RemoteDX where users were unable to reconnect to their disconnected Sessions on an RDS Farm and were stuck in "estimating connection quality". After uninstalling RemoteDX, the issue was solved when importing a Linux Load Balancer (HAProxy) Reg key. The user was thanked for this resolution and it was documented for reference. RemoteDX is not natively supported by RDS but is supported against Citrix/VMware Horizon/AVD. Missing “Client Device Score” icon in ControlUp Solve?
Members discussed the issue of not seeing Client Device Score in ControlUp Solve, and why metrics like Client Wi-Fi Signal, Lan Latency, Total Session Latency, and Internet Latency indicate the score. They concluded that Remote DX must be installed on the endpoints and the registry values need to be deployed. Driving Use Cases for Choosing ControlUp Edge DX
Two members discussed the driving use cases for choosing ControlUp Edge DX, including Corp laptop having VPN connectivity issues, seeing network latency/connectivity/ISP, and providing admin-level support to users' machines even when not connected to a VPN. Resolving Issues with RemoteDX on Dell ThinOS
A user was trying to test the RemoteDX feature on Dell ThinOS to view WiFi Signal, SSID and Radio Type but was not getting any data. Landon suggested there was an issue with the ThinOS build and needed to be updated to support FreeBSD. The user was running build 2211 which is the first version to support ControlUp. To fix the bug the package needs to be updated.

Clarifying ControlUp Edge DX and Remote DX Use Cases
Paul asked for clarification between ControlUp Edge DX and Remote DX and their use cases. EdgeDX is a standalone agent and RemoteDX is a plugin to Citrix Workspace/Horizon Client. Paul wants to get data from sessions, and tested with Mac, where EdgeDX data was visible but not data was visible in session views. RemoteDX was installed but did not show data in the session view.
