Understanding Session Protocol Latency Metrics in ControlUp
A user asked about the intervals for the Session protocol latency metrics and how to change them. The team member replied that the historical data granularity changes over time and there is no way to change this. Automated data exports can be set up to store data in a different analytics platform. The relevant KB article can be found at https://support.controlup.com/docs/vdi-and-daas-reports

How to List Full Path for Applications in ControlUp Reports
A user asked if it is possible to list the full path for applications in reports such as App Statistics. Another user mentioned that this is likely not possible due to the report counting usage across multiple hosts with different installation paths. The API, specifically the getappusage endpoint, also does not contain the path. A user confirmed this and provided a link to the documentation.

Differences in Latency between EdgeDX and VDA Protocol
A user asked about the differences in latency between EdgeDX and the ControlUp VDA protocol. It was suggested that this may be due to different sample rates and frequencies. The user expected the maximum latency in HDX to match that of EdgeDX, but it was discussed that this may not be the case if HDX is not sampling at the same time. ControlUp URLs for EdgeDX and the VDA were also shared.

Limitations of RemoteDX and EdgeDX for Non-Windows Devices in ControlUp
A user was experiencing difficulty connecting to the physical endpoint with Edge DX from a VDI session. The link between RemoteDX and EdgeDX is currently only supported for Windows devices, and there are no plans for future support. This limitation can be reported and upvoted on Uservoice. The "jump to device" functionality may still be possible by copying the device name and searching for it in the device details tab. There is currently no documentation or mention of this limitation being a known issue or unsupported in the release notes or knowledgebase. It is believed to be due to the ability for RemoteDX to pull the device ID from Windows, which is not built in for Linux/IGEL/thin clients.
