HTTP Scout Fails With Status Code 200 OK

Posted on February 4, 2023

HTTP Scout check failed with a status code of 200 OK and a pattern of "{“status”:“ok”}". The scout had been functioning correctly for several weeks and tests on other custom, public, and servers are working, but the scout does not. When testing in a browser, the user gets the result of "{“status”:“ok”}" which clears when removed and then recreated. A fix is in process and Ehud has offered to provide logs if needed.

Is this a custom hive or cloud hive? Have you tried it on multiple hives and if so are all of them are failing? Any screenshot you can provide would be helpful to everyone.

Its on a custom hive and is not reachable from public hives. All other scouts on this hive are working.

Have you tried to disable/enable the scout?

If i try the test url in a browser, i get: {“status”:“ok”}

I’ve rebooted the Hive and the server being checked and it still errors. I am disabling the scout now.Same errors after re-enabling.Can u remove the scout and recreate it? I assume you have already tried to hit the website from the server using edge/chrome browsers. Have you tried to ping/nslookup the fqdn from the server? :thinking_face:

If i try the test url in a browser, i get: {“status”:“ok”}

I’ll try recreating Removing this makes it work:

Look for a string in the response

{“status”:“ok”}

Odd that it worked for several months.It works for the test but the string value won’t clear:

We have an open bug on that… Clearing the string value is not working

Regarding the test not working, I had the same issue and I have an on going discussion with PM/DevWill let you know the resultsI made a new scout and it’s working. Let me know if you need any logs from the broken one.

do you need any log from a "broken scout"?

We are working on a fix for this bug. Should be available soon.

Thanks Ehud!
