Investigating Performance Issues with Teams on W2019 PVS Machines
The head of IT reported extreme slowness of Teams in his W2019 PVS shared machines since the beginning of the week. Insights showed high latency and low protocol bandwidth in the historical data but no CPU or memory peeks were seen. It was suggested to look at real-time performance views on his machine, and consider upgrading to the latest ControlUp version 8.8 to check all FSLogix metrics.

Proposal to Group Devices by Age for Life Cycle Management
A user proposed creating a report to group laptops/Desktops by age, including hardware warranty data, and to see how device performance decreases with age to aid life cycle management. User experience scores and the Edgedx breakdown will be used. Another user expressed appreciation for the example, since they will be proposing the concept to a customer the next day with the hope of selling Edgedx. The value of the concept is clear for devices requiring refreshment.

Filtering and Reporting on Users Per Host in ControlUp
The user needed to filter and pull a report on users per host, and wanted the hostname included in the sessions view. They have data in the machines view but want the ability to filter by hypervisor hosts. In the future, they would like an option to navigate to focus on a specific cluster, change to sessions view, and filter by hypervisor hosts. Troubleshooting an Elevated Child Process Error in ControlUp
A user experienced issues running a script through ControlUp Console, getting an error message about an elevated child process. Dennis suggested it may be due to User Access Control being enabled, however it was not enabled. A further suggestion was to try the script locally with the quiet switch, however it was reported that this made no difference. Dennis explained that the difference was that a hidden window was created in the non-interactive window session.

Tweaks to Web Reporting in CSV Requested Since First Capabilities
Users have been requesting tweaks to web reporting since the first capabilities, such as reports in their local timezone being properly formatted when exported as CSV. A Uservoice item is open for this issue, but the user was struggling to get usable data from the time/date fields when exported - Power and Session Events in CSV were all in UTC. Investigating “Failed” EUC Scouts in ControlUp
For some EUC Scouts, 'Couldn't get SessionReady from the session' is marked as 'failed' despite the screenshots appearing successful. The duration of the logon might be too short, so increasing it and using baseline images may help resolve the issue. In one instance, the issue was caused by Scoutbees reconnecting to a disconnected session, leading to 12 hour-long failed Scouting, even though the connection was successful.

How to Check if a User Accessed an Application such as a VPN in ControlUp
The user asked if it was possible to see if a user had used an application such as a VPN. @member recommended checking stopped processes and authentication logs, then provided a script to check the VPN default gateway. It was suggested that an alert could be set, but the user noted they were looking for a report.
