A user is having trouble accessing dashboards on ControlUp and asks for help. Another user responds that the dashboards are still in beta and may require specific prerequisites, such as enabled end user activity tracking. The first user confirms they have a desktops license and suggests it may not be working due to a renewal issue. They express hope that the feature will be extended to VDI and have submitted feature requests for report formatting. Another user responds that ControlUp is working on enabling VDI and more. The first user mentions having a case open for the license issue.

I have an issue accessing the canned dashboards as well as self-created custom dashbaords. Any widget that I access does not contain any data, instead it has a message "Something went wrong
Index ‘_’ is not available. Is there something I need to do to enable this feature?
Hi Denis the dashboards is still in beta. When it says the index is not their it means that the data is not there. This might be for example that end user activity tracking is not enabled which is needed for the AI dashboard: https://support.controlup.com/docs/ai-report-1 See the documentaiton OR that you need to run a script to generate the index OR that you dont have rights to the data. We are still working on better errors and showing the prereqs for a dashboard better. For now the prereqs are in the descrtiption of the dashbaord. Does this help you?
By the way the device inventory, Windows application crashes and Scripting and Automation dashboard all have no prereqs and should just work. Can you check this ?
Hey Denis, feel free to drop an export of the dashboard in here so we can have a look
And also, just to make sure: are you licensed for our ControlUp for Desktops product?
I just figures out that thisw product is likely only functional with Desktops, although that detail is a little vague in the documentation. I do have a desktops license for 150 endpoints (not my entire enterprise) but it isnt working since my renewal. I have a case opened for that. I assume the dashboards will begin working after that is fixed. I hope you extend this feature to DEX as that is my main use case for CU. I think its a really good feature and I have submitted feature requests to adjust reports formatting to make them more useful. Thanks!
Hey Denis, yeah we definitely are working on enabling VDI and more !!
