It is possible to write data into Device Events from scripts that are not running from ControlUp Edge DX. The ControlUp Knowledge Base provides examples on how to do this, for both events and data. If a script is activated from within Edge DX, any data can be captured in Device Events. The KB article can be found at: https://support.controlup.com/docs/scripting-guide#data-collection

Troubleshooting AVD Deployment Issues with ControlUp Console
A user asked for suggestions about an AVD deployment issue, where the agent is failing to deploy from the Console on some machines. Solutions such as ensuring Administrative Shares are enabled, and that the account running the ControlUp Console.exe has Administrator permissions on the remote machine were suggested. Investigating Failed Scripts in User Context in ControlUp
The user noticed that scripts that run as users are running from File C:\ProgramData\Avacee\sip_agent\scripts\ and two scripts from File C:\ProgramData\Avacee\sip_agent\scripts\temp\ are failing. The user inquired if anything changed and found out that the scripts are stored in the scripts folder, but are copied to a temp folder for the user when run in order to avoid multiple users running the same script. The scripts were working fine the previous week on 140 devices, only 4 devices had it functioning.

High User Input Delay Issues: Patch Windows OS and Adjust CPU Priority
The user was asked if the high User Input Delay (UIP) was due to infrastructure issues or the Microsoft counter, and @member recommended patching Windows OS if there is a memory leak in ControlUp agent, as well as comparing session count/CPU usage and reducing CPU priority of non-critical processes. The user thanked and will patch as soon as possible. IP Addresses for Servers in EUC Environment in ControlUp Console
A user asked why some EUC environment servers in the ControlUp console had their IP address visible while others did not. It was explained that those with an agent installed had their IP addresses pulled directly from the agent, while "agentless" machines that were powered on get the IP address field from vCenter. To view the IP addresses of the ones with agents, the user was recommended to use "Solve" and add the field there.

Investigating Performance Issues in Citrix VDI with NVIDIA GRID GPU
A user reported strange performance differences between identical Citrix VDI machines with NVIDIA GRID GPU configured, all started from the same master. Though NVIDIA licensing and configuration was OK, some machines did not show a GPU in use. Other users suggested checking the ControlUp Agent delayed start setting and switching between native Microsoft APIs and NVIDIA metrics (https://support.controlup.com/docs/gpu-monitoring-with-controlup?highlight=gpu). They also recommended looking at known issues. The customer planned to investigate the issue further the next day.

Setting Up Persistent Desktops and Servers With ControlUp
A user asked about syncing Active Directory computers with RealTime DX Console, and was advised to use GPOs or automated agent deployment to set up persistent desktops and servers. However, there are drawbacks to the latter which can be found in the ControlUp documentation. The Agent can now be upgraded from the console using a registry flag. The full discussion, including the relevant ControlUp URLs, can be seen at https://controlupcommunity.slack.com/archives/C0473N33S00/p1695332008532109.
