A user was experiencing an issue with a monitor server, receiving a "Failed to authenticate" message. They had tried various solutions including double checking the time on the server, but a colleague was eventually able to solve the issue by identifying a mismatch between the certificate used and the one on the machine. Troubleshooting ControlUp Error Message
The team discussed an error message that was appearing when trying to access ControlUp. It was suggested to check the URLs needed to access the service, SSL inspection, and network communication. Some URLs required for v9 may need to be whitelisted. A tool was released to test network connectivity to ControlUp cloud services. The URLs and relevant validation results can be found at https://support.controlup.com/docs/how-to-check-network-connectivity-to-controlup-cloud-services?highlight=netwrok%20test%20tool.

ControlUp’s Plan for Replacing Solve Tab in Console00
A user asked about plans to replace the Solve tab in the Console with a Dex tab, since Solve is no longer available. Another user mentioned that there is already a Dex button but it will not function as a SSO. The console will require users to log into Dex first in its next version. The HybridCloud RealtimeDX v9 also has a DEX button and Solve/IOP tab, and it is recommended to set up SAML for SSO. A link to ControlUp's support page on SAML SSO for Dex was provided.

Troubleshooting Duplicate Servers in the ControlUp DX Console
A user asked for help solving an issue with duplicate servers in the DX Console. Other users suggested checking if the servers were from different sites, as consoles do not merge data from different sites by default. Another solution is to enable multi-site association, which may increase network traffic between sites. Matching sites between extensions and agents may also help. The feature can be found at https://support.controlup.com/docs/multi-site-association-feature. The issue may have been caused by API monitors in a different site. Out of hours is recommended for turning on the feature.

Maximizing Use of ControlUp Academy and Running Scripts on All Machines
The discussion inquired about the functionality of ControlUp Academy, a training platform that offers free self-training and instructor-led content. Certifications from ControlUp are also available. Suggestions were given on how to filter out machines without the agent in order to properly run a PowerShell script on all machines. Additionally, it was recommended to disconnect from all extensions and connect to a specific folder in order to avoid complications with unmanaged machines. Local machine accounts are used when running a script, but the agent must be connected to the tree for it to function properly.

Performance Issues with ControlUp’s Solve/Dex Feature
Several users have reported that the solve/dex feature on ControlUp is performing slowly, with reports of up to a minute wait time or timeout when trying to display top processes of a terminal server. This issue seems to be dependent on the monitor's pressure, although it has been noted that this is not the case for historical data. Performance on report data is also being affected.
